I got some cool new swimmers: it's pink and it has a hood

I can practice Gymbaroo moves in it like "upside downs"

And also "down, down, jump!"

This is how much I love my new swimmers :)

I also got a merit award this week for my torpedos under water - yay!

If you're happy and you're Chloe clap your hands

If you're happy and you have four teeth clap your hands

If you're happy and you know it and you're 14 months old today, if you're happy and you're Chloe clap your hands

Since Chloe's top two teeth have come through she's back to trying lots of new foods. Tonight we had pasta, cheese and yoghurt. To protect her clothing, she wears a giant pink raincoat (it's not really a raincoat, just looks like one) which certainly does the trick.

We had some great dining experiences in the places below as well as in Chin Chin and Spice Temple amongst others.

Twice cooked duck leg at Bistrot d'Orsay. This is hands down the best duck I have ever had.

Chloe lounging around at Bistrot d'Orsay in her chair soaking in the atmosphere of Collins street - she enjoyed all the food adventures too.

Before our flight we had lunch at Ezard. I would highly recommend their Crispy Fried Pork Hock.

By the end of our trip we were hooked on macarons and were especially partial to the ones from GPO.

How the time has flown by: my little one turns 13 months old today

A week ago, Chloe started walking everywhere unsupported and she just loves walking into our outstretched arms. She is just so proud of herself, it is so endearing :)

We recently went to Melbourne where we invested in a portable high chair for the many dining experiences we planned.  Chloe liked her high chair so much that she spent lots of downtime in the hotel playing with the chair. It’s still a hit back home in Perth.

Chloe loves baths and will sprint to the bathroom when she hears water running. She hopes that water will mean bath time for her. We have also started swimming lessons and this little one squeals with so much delight when splashing around.

Chloe also likes new experiences and exploring new people and places. One of her favourite activities is staring people down until they look back and wave at her. She makes lots of new friends every time she leaves the house. Credit cards and any other card which resembles a credit card also holds great appeal to her. Much time has been spent with Chloe poring over my purse trying to put cards in slots. She has also started throwing tantrums and will get very upset when bath time is over or when I have to take my purse away from her.

We can't wait for what is next with this little one :)

Chloe is now using walking as her primary mode of transport - well it's a close second to being carried around. To reward her, we decided to go shoe shopping. And yes, she always walks with dramatic effect like this.

Our first stop, DJs in town. Here, we were more impressed by the colourful children's chairs than by the shoes.

By the time we reached Myer, Chloe had become a shoe aficionado (like her mum) and was trying on multiple pairs at a time in an effort to find the perfect pair. Needless to say, we came home with some gorgeous new shoes in time for Easter celebrations.

This little one turned one recently

To celebrate we had a party with family, friends and food and mummy made cupcakes

It was so much fun wearing a pretty dress and being the centre of attention

There was also a ball pit

And there were also flowers for mummy (cos we also celebrated her passing her exams)

You wouldn't believe the mischief they get up to...

Luckily we have photographic evidence

Yes that's mummy's pillow

I see noodles mummy, gimme gimme

It's a tough job deciding which one to have first

Tis more ladylike to eat with one hand at a time...

But tis more fun and dramatic to eat with both!

I love my noodles

Chloe has been pulling to a stand for a while now with support. But recently, she will let go of whatever she is holding or pushing, and then give herself a little clap for her efforts. And she will stand all by her little self for a few seconds before dropping onto her little bottom and crawling off to find something else to clap at. It is so cute watching this little one being so pleased with herself :)

This little girl simply adores bread. She is especially partial to dinner rolls. They're the best thing since well, sliced bread - which she is also quite enjoys. I usually tear it up into small pieces and she picks them up deftly with her little hands and squishes them into her mouth. It is a challenge to get other food in between mouthfuls as she will quickly get another piece into her mouth before you try an offending vegetable. She is getting better and better at this and these days more food ends up in her mouth and less on the floor. She will also happily nibble on whole rolls or whole slices of bread and sometimes on burgers as well.

She gives new meaning to the phrase "filling up on bread" and I quite enjoy watching her devour it. Her enthusiasm is adorable.

Chloe has decided that cruising around with her walkers is pretty cool. When she hits a wall or the couch she will usually keep pushing with little grasp as to why the walker will no longer move forwards. She is also enjoying mowing us down with them as well.

Check out that determination!
